His journey in the Malaysian Film Industry began in the year 1995 when he was enrolled in FINAS and produced an award winning short film, "Felina". He won the award of best director, screenplay and project for this short film at the 3rd Film and Video Festival of the Malaysian Film Academy. On the following year (1996) his final year project, a 10 minutes short film titled V-36 which was shot with a 16mm film camera. This short film was given 3 prestigious awards in 1997 namely 2nd best film at 5th National University of Malaysia (UKM) Film and Broadcast festival 1997, Best film project KODAK award 1997 at the 4th Convocation of Malaysia and Best film at the 4th Film and Video Festival of the Malaysian Film Academy. "Belum Lagi Qiamat" was his first independent movie produced and directed by himself in the year 2000, which gave him confidence to direct more feature films.He further developed his directing expertise while working as an in-house director for ASTRO (All Asia Broadcast Centre) from the year 2000 to 2001. Then, he resigned from his post and established his own production house known as Janu Talkies Sdn Bhd. Through his production house, he produced and directed several TV commercials, documentaries, corporate videos and other custom videos. Janu Talkies was well established and capable to produce a Malaysian Tamil movie titled "Aandal" in the year 2004. This movie made the highest sales record of local Tamil VCD movie in Malaysia and Singapore. Upon completion of Aandal and prior to its release in the cinemas, Sandosh Kesavan was offered a Malay feature film titled "Gong" by Grand Brilliance Sdn Bhd. Gong was screened in all cinemas in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. It was televised in ASTRO Showcase channel 21 in December 2006. In mid-2006, he was invited to the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) representing Malaysia for the Training Program in Intellectual Property for the Film and Broadcast Industry in Asian Region (ENAC) held in Tokyo Japan. In the following year, 2007 he produced and directed a Malay movie titled "Noor Halizah" and sold it to the local television channel NTV7. On the same year, he also successfully completed the 'High Definition Production & Visual Effects' workshop conducted by Scott Billups held in the National Culture, Arts & Heritage Academy at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. For two years, from 2008 to 2009 he directed and produced several projects namely 26 episodes of TV Magazine program of 'Fashion Sense', 26 episodes of TV Magazine program of 'Other side of food' for TV2, a video production workshop in FINAS (October 2009) and a corporate video for Power Fence Sdn Bhd (November 2009). In 2010, he directed a corporate video for ZECON Bhd whilst working on a documentary for ASTRO Vaanavil and directed a Tamil feature movie titled "Maduraikaran". On the following year (2011), he directed another Tamil feature movie titled "Yamuna". Sandosh Kesavan then commenced with another direction and production in the year 2013 of a 13 episode Tamil drama and a musical program for RTM. In 2015, he directed a Tamil feature movie titled "Aanushtana". After six years, he produced and directed another Malay feature movie titled "Biasan". In 2017 he was selected to be a Jury for the 29th Malaysian Film Festival. At the same year, he was also invited as a lecturer for a Direction Workshop for the Sivaji Ganesan Cultural Society in Malaysia associated with the Socio Economic Development of the Indian Community Unit (SEDIC) under the Prime Minister's Department. The latest movie released under his direction which was just released on 1st November 2018 is titled "Operasi X". On 2019, he will be producing and directing a Malay movie titled "Felina" which will be released on that year itself.
