Shaphan David Seiders is an American film and stage actor from Arizona. He spent his childhood in bucolic Northeast Ohio where he was raised by his mother and grandparents, who were from the beautiful hills of eastern Kentucky. He has lived in many places, but it was his two year stint in Southern Mexico that solidified Shaphan's artistic commitment. Though also educated in medical sciences, he has now turned to formal education in the arts of film and theatre. He is now pursuing his advanced degrees from Arizona State University. Most recently he has been involved with Adolpho Navarro in the short Western film The Alluring Frontier near Old Tucson, Arizona. He has been in five other award winning film productions with Mr. Navarro including Shark Pool, 5th Sector, 6th Sector, and Static. Recent works on stage have been with Unrehearsed Shakespeare Company, whose educational outreach has been well received by the regional Arizona community. Shaphan's professional stage work has been seen at Southwest Shakespeare Company, Dobama Theatre Company, Canyon Moon Theatre Company, Chandler/Gilbert Performing Arts Center, and many others. Mr Seiders has years of training at Houde School of Acting in Cleveland, Ohio. He has studied under: Jessica Houde-Morris, Randy Messersmith, Tracy Liz Miller, Kent Burnham, Shalynn Reynolds, E.E. Moe, Gerard Maguire, Michael Bond, and Jena Necrason. Shaphan has been recognized by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for Meritorious Achievement. He is a freelance non-unionized performance artist based in Arizona looking forward to Disney casting him in Star Wars.
