Anthony Michael Venezia was born on February 22nd 1988 at Good Samaritan Hospital on Long Island, NY. He spent much of his childhood playing football and other team sports, and was being recruited to play college football After suffering injuries in his varsity seasons, he decided to hang up the cleats and follow another passion. Storytelling. He received his Bachelors in Fine Arts, concentrating in Independent Filmmaking. At Five Towns College, he would change the landscape there forever; as a freshman. his film "Letters", was nominated for six awards at the schools festival, winning for Best Editing and Best Freshman film. This however, was the first time a freshman film was nominated in the Best Picture, Editing, Best Screenplay and Cinematography category.The film was co-created and shot by Cinematographer John Rosario, and edited by Michael McInerny. Anthony received a best Acting nod, and decided to never be in front of the camera again. After making Letters, Anthony linked up with producer Adam Berry, and they began writing and creating "The Survivalist Theory"- a 30 minute horror tv show pilot, about the existence of man after a zombie apocalypse. The show was completed a few weeks before the announcement of AMC's the Walking Dead, and canned forever. In the fall of 2010, he created the world and first draft for a television Series (and pilot)- tentatively titled, "fail-Safe". He linked up with long time girlfriend and editor Jessica Cardoza, and long time childhood friend Mario Mascetti (cinematograpger), and went into production. After a lengthy year and a half spent shooting, editing, adding scenes, the film premiered in the summer of 2012, in front of a sold out New York City crowd at the Hellen Mills Theater. Anthony believes in the power of cinema, to move people, and make them think. His goal is to have people leaving the theater in conversation, and inspired; rethinking popular opinion, and the generic structure of movies. Anthony Michael Venezia is currently living in New York.
