The Legendary Blues Band was formed in 1980 by musicians who left the Muddy Waters band. They signed a contract with Rounder Records, and released their first album, "Life of Ease", in 1981. The band issued several follow-up albums, but one of its original members left in 1985 and another in 1986. They went through a string of personnel changes over the next few years, and signed a new contract with another record company, Ichiban Records, in 1989. They have continued recording, and regularly tour the blues and blues festival circuits.
