It may seem impossible to make a big impact in entertainment these days; with an excess amount of aspirants and a shortage of quality talent, it's harder for an artist to obtain the listeners' undivided attention. Real fans of music look for a little bit more, they want to be apart of something special. Just look at the success of G-Unit, Dip Set, Bad Boy and Roc-a-Fella. Those labels provided much more than music, people admired the way spoke, the way they dressed, in short their lifestyles were emulated. But the most important reason they made that type of impact; was timing. The timing was perfect, flawless. It just seemed like every time listeners needed something more, something more was there. And with the current state that Hip-Hop is in, something may not be wanted but it is needed. But to duplicate that type of success might be nearly impossible. To have that type of movement, you would need an individual that moves you. Now most probably wouldn't even consider that a 21 year-old is capable of such a thing but once you get a chance to speak to him, you'll notice he's much much more than just an entertainer. You'll see that whatever he puts his mind to he'll accomplish it. Who is this you may ask, well that individual is Jersey City native, $hard aka The New & Improved Fresh Prince. His age is no reflection on his knowledge of the industry. He is a student of the game and his wisdom is beyond his years. While at first glance, he may come off as overly confident, but his humbleness and respect for the industry's pioneers is equally refreshing. Just look at his aka. It is in no way disrespecting the better known Fresh Prince, Will Smith, but rather honoring the icon by extending his legacy in providing feel good music, but just doing so in a way $hard does things. And while growing up in a city labeled as a place where its residents have no aspirations in life, $hard and his entrepreneurial spirit chose to go against the norm and created UpRight Entertainment Group, a movement made in his image that is arrogant and fresher than most. Only time will tell the type of impact $hard and his UpRight Representatives will make on the industry!
