Jordan Mohr grew up in Venice, Culver City, and the Orange County area of Southern California. She has one sister, who was assistant producer and production designer for Hollywood Mouth (2008). Her acting debut was at age nine as The Queen in "The Twelve Days of Christmas," which was performed at various venues in the Culver City area (schools, service clubs, women's clubs). An artist from childhood, she sold tile and mosaic pieces from age ten. She was elected to the Student Council in middle school and high school, was a Seal Bearer ("Cum Laude") of the California Scholarship Federation, and studied acting with Doyle Baker. She portrayed the Player Queen in "Hamlet" and Emilia in "Othello" in workshop productions and was an assistant director in children's theater, e.g. "A Millennium Odyssey." Her long-time interest in Hollywood history resulted in her successful one-woman live shows, "The Hollywood Nostalgia Tour" and "Hollywood Then and Now" (she also filmed the background material for these performances). She has appeared at Club Luxe at M-Bar in Hollywood and has played Simone Signoret and Simone de Beauvoir in a play that she adapted from their autobiographies. In 2010 another play she wrote about Simone de Beauvoir, "De Beauvoir 1964," was approved for production by the Estate of Simone de Beauvoir, and she began work on a sequel to Hollywood Mouth (2008). Hollywood Mouth 2 (2014) became a parallel rather than a sequel to "Hollywood Mouth" and Hollywood Mouth 3 (2018) completed the trilogy. Her next project is a film about Maria Ouspenskaya who played the gypsy in the Wolf Man movies.
