Freddy Scott is a multi-genre composer/songwriter/producer/comedian/actor whose versatility shows in the scope of his work. For the past five years (and 15 seasons combined to date) Freddy has written and produced the musical challenges and "Rusicals" on the Emmy winning RuPaul's Drag Race, RuPaul's Drag Race Allstars, RuPaul's Drag Race UK, RuPaul's Celebrity Drag Race, and RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under. In addition to that, he wrote and produced music for RuPaul's Drag Race: Live!, a stage musical that opened at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas in February 2020. His music for the show has entered the UK TOP 40 twice to date, and he has produced three singles for RuPaul in addition to working with John Legend, Lizzo, Jack Black, Tanya Tucker, Bootsy Collins, Coolio, and other amazing artists. He is also on-camera talent for the show. As a composer Freddy has scored films starring Maggie Gyllenhaal, Adrien Brody, Uma Thurman, Dominic West, as well as cult-favorite documentary, "The Death Of Superman Lives". He also works in the comedic music space. Rolling Stone called him a "master" for his Nine Inch Nails parody "This Is A Trent Reznor Song". He wrote and produced several music videos for Nerdist that have a combined over 100,000,000 views. In 2020, Freddy wrote and produced a solo musical comedy stage show for the sold-out national tour, "The Comedians Following Tool On Tour: The Tour." Freddy was born in Stockholm, Sweden and then moved to Cuba and the Dominican Republic before settling in the United States as a child. Because his mother is from Argentina, Freddy grew up bilingually, and is fluent in Spanish. His upbringing and his experiences around the world contribute to his wide range of musical influences. His first instrument was saxophone, which he quickly discarded to take up guitar. After years of playing in metal and rock bands, Freddy attended The American University in Washington, D.C. where he studied as a multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer.
