Christopher Tempel (El Director) has been making moving images since he was old enough to learn how to draw flip-books. He proceeded to make countless short films with his family's VHS camcorder before learning about digital filmmaking while in high school. Upon graduating, Chris continued to hone his craft by running his own video production business, specializing in birthday and anniversary videos. He also created over forty short films as he developed his own style and working method. At the age of 22, Chris shot his first feature length film, a low-budget slasher flick called "Wulf" for just $600. At 24, he shot his second feature, "Leap". Those two films served as a training ground in feature filmmaking and when he was 25, Chris shot the $2000 "Leap: Rise of the Beast" as his first "real" movie. After a short time of being homeless, Chris was hired at a small production company where he traveled the world shooting promotional videos. He then served as the visual effects supervisor for the acclaimed series, "The Days of Noah". Chris is known for being a one man crew who writes, shoots, edits, and does visual effects for his work, as well as pushing the limits of available technology. He was the first director to shoot a feature film on the Canon Rebel T2i with only a kit lens. Chris owns a small, full-service production company in Montana called Pyro Studios. When he's not making movies, Chris runs a YouTube channel where he teaches film and visual effects to other filmmakers. He is a licensed skydiver, a black belt in Kenpo karate, and enjoys practicing parkour, as well as backpacking with his wife Karissa and dog Bodhi.
