Dan R. Harris

Dan R Harris was born and raised in Northern California. He attended Reed College in Portland Oregon, and was studying fine art and religious history when he was lured back into the theatre (by taking his first directing class) and wrote and directed an original play for his senior thesis. For a year he worked as an editor at Dark Horse Comics. And in 2000 entered the UCLA Graduate Film Program. His knowledge of theatre helped to coax consistently good performances from his actors, and his working with film at a young age (yes, he was one of those Super 8 kids who made stop-motion animation shorts with his action figures!), helped him pick up the fundamentals of production quickly. He has finished his first feature film "May & December" and is writing his next script, "Food & Shelter" (The story of a man who identifies himself completely with his job, then loses his job...).
