George is a multi-lingual actor and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. The son of a Cuban-American mother and West Point graduate father, he grew up in the Chicagoland area. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Religious Studies in 2006 he began backpacking in Asia-first in India, then in China. It was in China that he discovered his passion for languages, which carries on to the present. It was also during his first stint in China that he realized he should become an actor. So back in Chicago in 2009, he began studying acting in training centers while getting work in independent films and plays. After developing both his Mandarin and acting chops for a few years, he began working full-time in the TV and Film industry in China in 2014. After a few years in the Chinese industry, George established himself as a go to Mandarin-speaking actor for dialogue intensive roles. His starring role in Hunan TV's 2016 biopic series about American journalist Edgar Snow "Red Star over China" was the largest role ever for a non-Asian actor in a Chinese series and it was one of only two times that a non-Asian actor speaking Mandarin in the starring role was not dubbed. He repeated this feat in 2018 playing the starring role in the sit-com series "The Jing." After moving back and forth between the US and China 10 times between 2007 and 2018, George settled in Los Angeles to continue developing his career Stateside. In 2021 he wrote and produced his first short film, a revisionist western titled "Out on a Limb."
