Kirsten Tan

Kirsten Tan is a director/ cinematographer with a distinct visual style of storytelling laced with astringent humor. Kirsten was raised in Singapore, but soon wandered off after graduation to live in South Korea and Thailand, before arriving in NYC to pursue a Masters in Film Production at NYU, where she was awarded the Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Fellowship. She has been lauded as one of Singapore's most accomplished young filmmakers. Her debut feature film 'Pop Aye' was selected as the opening night film of Sundance Film Festival's World Dramatic Competition segment and was awarded the Special Jury Prize for Screenwriting.
