Sharon Talbot was born as Sharon Taylor into a large, boisterous Colorado family. She grew up in Denver and had her first acting class at Denver University when she was four. She studied classical ballet throughout childhood and came to New York to dance after graduating from the University, Phi Beta Kappa, with degrees in theatre, psychology and English. She got her Equity card in a summer package of "Gypsy", playing the back end of a cow. Because there was already a "Sharon Taylor" in Equity, she was forced to acquire the name "Talbot". That fall, she was cast in "Don't Drink the Water" on Broadway, ultimately understudying Anita Gillette. She did her first movie role during that time, "Siempre Libra", a film by Myrna Changar. Off-Broadway and regional theater productions followed as well as a season on "One Life to Live". Her films include "Commodities", written and directed by Fred Yu.
