Rosanna Joy Xaviera Wyse was born on Dec 10, 1992 in Zimbabwe, Africa to Sarah Wyse, a financial adviser and choir director, and Ronald Wyse, a writer and therapist. Her mother was born in Hong Kong and is of Chinese and Indonesian decent, and her father; a Canadian born, is Scottish, Irish, Welsh and Alsace-Lorraine. After moving to Ontario, Canada at the age of 4, Rosie became heavily enrolled in classical piano and ballet lessons, winning various piano competition awards such as 1st and 3rd place in Grade 8 piano. It wasn't until the age of 13 that her interest for acting began with a phone call to the acting agency John Robert Powers. Rosie would later participate in the Las Vegas Ipop Casting Workshop where she would meet casting directors from all over the world. Soon after this, she landed her first small role in the ABC TV Series, Happy Town (2009). Rosie's interest in the craft of acting deepened and she left John Robert Powers to train under The Cindy Tanas Actors Studios, meeting her first mentor Danka Scepanovic. For the next few years, Rosie would focus solely on training while landing small roles in productions like Cider (2017), a short comedy directed by George Nikitakis and A Better Future (2018), a short student film directed by Vanessa Ross. It wasn't until until 2018 that she landed her first lead in Blue Voyeur, a vignette depicting the sexual and dark explorations of a girl named Ana, directed by Karl Kai. This artistically fulfilling work led Rosie to her next lead role as Nell in the short film Nell (2018) directed by Madison Graves, a girl riddled with a dark secret from her past that eventually catches up to her. Rosie's latest venture is as a director, composer and actor of her own creation, Ted (2020), a surreal exploration of a girl metamorphosing into an androgynous entity named Ted.
