Gabriella's Biography Gabriela Curi is a multi-talented film, and stage actress, a dancer/entertainer and spiritual healer/practitioner. She has appeared in movies, TV shows, commercials, and has performed on stage in New York, Miami, Brazil, and Peru. She speaks English, Portugese, French and Spanish. Gabriella's most recent accomplishments include creating the Pomba Gira production company and being the artistic director of the international Brazilian - Peruvian Music Festival! She was also part of the image campaign of this festival, appearing in promotional media, and she directed the dance department for the festival. She will also perform these duties in 2014. Additionally, Gabriella served as Social Media Coordinator and Cultural Manager of the National Project of Sports, Arts, Culture, and Entertainment for People with Disabilities and Autism in Peru. She holds this position through 2015. Gabriella's recent film career includes the lead role in the new film from Manta Productions "Queen of Carnaval" now in preproduction, the role of archaeologist in director Edwin William Leyva's documentary "Caral", the role of Lesbian Ghost in director Gisella Barthe's short film "La Marea" and the short film "Fenix," in post-production. Her film work in New York includes "Psychoanalysis" and many short films at the New York Film Academy and in Miami. Gabriella has starred in two Brazilian short films, "Comercio" and "A Promesa" and was a celebrated Samba dancer in the Telemundo Thanksgiving Day parade. She has had many modeling jobs in Bahia and Miami. Gabriella's recent television work includes roles as Afra Gypsy and Vampire in Cesar Torres upcoming project called Quivilla, Vampires TV series. Gabriella loves to learn and perform and has studied extensively. She has a degree in Mass Media/Communications/Performance from the University of Lima (Peru). Her acting studies have included the prestigious New York Film Academy where she worked and studied with many leading performers. She recently earned another acting certificate from Teatro Vila Velha in Brazil, working with acting coach Franklin Albuquerque. One of Gabriella's passions is Dance. Gabriella has studied and performed dance passionately since she was a small girl. She loves the genre and it loves her. Her beauty and energy are transmitted to the viewer's senses. Few people can bring a dance to life as she can and transmit the power and energy and spirituality of a performance to her audience. Gabriella has studied at the Peridance Capezio Center, Broadway Dance Center and Djoniba Centre in New York and the Escola de Dança da Funceb in Brazil. She has performed extensively on stage in New York, Brazil and Miami, appearing with the Ginga Da Bahia, Ogans in York and Esencia dance groups in New York and in many other dance roles in Brazil and Miami. More recently, she has studied at the Broadway Dance Center and has been coached by Ned Williams in New York and Stewart Salomon in Miami. Gabriella is an expert in every type of Latin dance and can teach it as well. Additionally, she has training and experience in Ballet, Contemporary, Hip-hop, and Ballroom dancing styles. You will not find someone who is able to do all of these things so very well. In addition to being an ultra-talented actress, dancer and performer, Gabriela also has a softer, spiritual side. She is a yoga practitioner/instructor, a breathing therapist, an Ayurvedic practitioner and Healer and is a Transformational Life-Health-Fitness consultant and Holistic instructor. Gabriella is Latin-American Coordinator and Organizer of Vinyasa Krama Yoga Teacher Training featuring yogi Ruslan Kleytman. She produced several classes in 2012 and 2013 and is organizing and planning events for 2014 and 2015 at this time. She is also organizing a new yoga retreat in Buzios, Brazil with Ryan Carldon-Miah, Director of Budokon Academy in London. Gabriella is a very sharp and motivated business person. She loves to give back to the community and is the Latin-American program coordinator for "Teen Heroes" - an international effort to bring meaning to teens lives around the world. Gabriella is certified as an International Personal Trainer specializing in muscle techniques and fitness marketing. She is also a certified Nutritionist, an Ayurveda Practitioner and an active meditator and healer. Gabriella's most exciting new project is a workout video that will be similar to the Zumba fitness program. She is putting the finishing touches on script and video for that production and hopes to market it worldwide. There will be an accompanying fitness, motivational and wellness program with it to help people improve their health and quality of life.
