Born to an Italian physician and raised in Rome, Giuseppe Russo started out as a classical pianist and prodigy at the age of 8. Russo began taking acting classes with Carlo Merlo at Art Clesis Rome Academy, and with Beatrice Bracco who taught him Stanislavsky technique tools. He continued his course of studies with Claudio Boccaccini, Annamaria Cianciulli (Meisner Method), Kenneth Avery-Clark (American Musical Theater Academy of London) and Bernard Hiller. In his native country of Italy, he is well known for his numerous performances on popular television shows and films. His theatrical career thus far has included a plethora of leading roles, garnering critical acclaim. In 2011, Giuseppe won CTR's Angelo Perugini "Best Actor" award for his performance in the Italian production of Tango. After moving to Los Angeles, Russo has booked several major national and regional commercials, plus a series of films including Avoy, Blind, The House Always Wins and Jay Brannan's music video Square One. After these experiences, Giuseppe landed a co-star role on the Ryan Murphy FX series, Feud alongside Alfred Molina. And worked with Francis Ford Coppola in his live cinema short, Distant Vision. Giuseppe Russo has been one of the most established foreign actors working with Ivana Chubbuck in her invitation-only master class for three years, and recently started studying improvisation at UCB.
