Caroline Brassard was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. Half Anglo-Canadian, and half French-Canadian, she pursued her studies in french until she graduated from Villa Maria High School in 2003, at which point she had done a year with Dynamic Theatre Factory, a not-for-profit English theatre organization for kids and teenagers in Montreal. Although acting was always a priority, her interests extended further than performing, and Brassard wanted to learn about being behind the camera. In 2003, she began studying Cinema/Communications at Dawson College for two years, where she graduated with Honors. In 2005, Brassard left Montreal to study theatre at York University, where she was accepted into the Acting Conservatory in her second year. Brassard graduated with Honors from York in 2009, and after taking a 6 month hiatus and with no agent representing her, she responded to an open call and landed her first acting role in the independent thriller "Twisted Seduction" written and directed by first timer Dominique Adams. The film was done over a period of ten days in Montreal in January 2010. And, 5 and a half months later, on July 14th 2010, the film previewed at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal to positive reviews.
