Mat Van Rhoon

Born in Sydney, Mat is youngest of two siblings and son of Australian popular music entertainer and actor Marty Rhone. After studying Media Arts & Production and graduating from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2006 (where he directed one of his first short films 'The Masque of the Red Death'), Mat focused his attention on freelance video and film production, developing his skills in directing, editing and visual effects. In 2013 he was offered the role of Visual Effects Supervisor and Lead VFX Artist on 'Tesla Effect', the next title in the award winning Tex Murphy PC Adventure Game series (a game franchise he had followed ever since he was 9 years old). During production, he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he resides today and continues to develop his career in film and video game production.
