Born and raised in Crookston, MN to parents Richard and Lynnette Mullins. Jesi graduated with a BFA from the University of North Dakota. She also studied physical theatre at Accademia dell'Arte in Arezzo, Italy as well as vocal performance at the The Tuscany Project. In New York, Jesi studied with the HB Studio under the tutelage of Lorraine Serabian. She then received her MFA from The Theatre School at DePaul University.
