Jonathan Stutzman is an award-winning filmmaker and writer whose work has shown in film festivals across North America and on television both nationally and internationally. Apart from his own narrative films, Jonathan works commercially and independently, shooting and producing music videos, commercials, and new media. Recently Jonathan received a writing credit on Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Emmy-winning variety show HitRECord on TV (Pivot). In 2011, Jonathan's short film Paper Turtle earned him a nomination for the Kodak Student Filmmaker Award (Eastman-Kodak Company) and a Rising Star Filmmaking Award (Canada International Film Festival), among others. His other short award-winning work includes Blaue Blume (2009), Erato (2010), Wake Up (2014), Fox & Bear Find Imagination (2015), and his most recent film, Thornbird (2015). Jonathan graduated from Messiah College with a B.A. in Communication/Film and is a MFA graduate in Film and Media Arts at Temple University. Apart from filmmaking Jonathan dabbles in animation, writes short fiction, and is a published poet, illustrator, and children's book author. His writing and illustrations have been featured in Joseph Gordon-Levitt's bestselling books The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories Vol. 1-3 (It! Publishing, Hitrecord), and he has published two books.
