A Queens/Bronx native Joshua Rivera passion for acting ignited at the age of eight, when he became a member of "The Variety Boys and Girls Club of Queens". He is a graduate of "The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute 2015". Joshua was the first recipient awarded, the Johnny Depp Scholarship at the institute. He is also two time winner of "The First Run Film Festivals" Actor Award 2010 & 2014. Joshua's films have run in festivals around the world, from Tribeca to Sundance to Cannes. He is best known for his role in SXSW Grand Jury Award Winner "Gimme the Loot" by Adam Leon. Joshua can be seen at this year's Tribeca Film Festival 2015, in his award winning film "STOP" By Reinaldo Marcus Green. He can also be seen in CBS: Blue Bloods "Under the Gun", NBC's Law & Order: SVU and in BET, T.V movie "Showtime" as lead Rocco. In his spare time Joshua likes to contribute to his community by actively supporting groups such as M.A.D.D, (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) & The Seeds of Africa Foundation for which he filmed PSA's, to help bring funds and awareness to the Foundations. Joshua also enjoys writing and performing rap music with his peers. Joshua and Billy Conahan Known as the rap duo K.O.P. (Kings of The Planet) opened "The Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival in 2013" for rappers Redman & EPMD. Joshua Rivera is a young talent who is dedicating his life to creating art that will help inspire and motivate all humanity.
