Mandy Hughes has had the passion for the film industry since she first started modeling when she was less than a year old. By the time she was in kindergarten, she knew she wanted to be an actor. She continued acting in plays, and participating in as many performing arts as she could in middle school and high school. Because of her on camera confidence, she was chosen to be the anchor of her middle school's morning news show, and was an active participant in the drama club. She was also a drummer and a cheerleader which helped supply her need to perform. In high school, she maintained those passions and became part of the International Thespian Society. Later on, she was chosen again as the school news anchor, and maintained her role for multiple years. She graduated Asheville High with honors in both Fine Arts and Career Technology and an award for being the Outstanding Digital Media student . She continued to blaze her performing arts trail by majoring in Motion Picture and Television production at the School of Stage and Screen through Western Carolina University. When she was in her senior year, she was one of the two students chosen to write and direct their own short film project. She graduated from WCU with Honors and an award for Outstanding Screenwriter. Through her memorable hard work at her internship with PC&E during college, she was immediately offered a job to work as an Office Production Assistant for the USA Network's hit tv-show "Necessary Roughness". From there, she continued working as an Office/Set PA for other films, and television shows learning as much as she could about the industry. As she gained significant knowledge of the work that goes on behind the camera, it further fueled her desire for being a visual storyteller . Since then, she had trained with three different acting schools, loving all the challenges each school provided. When Mandy isn't busy with acting work, she participates in extra curriculars such as: martial arts, pole dancing, directing, and screenwriting. She's known for her drive, persistence, and determination to go above and beyond with all of her work.
