Dalia Davi was born on July 14, 1978 (birth name Dalia Yvette Ruiz Del Rosario) in New York City, raised in the south Bronx. Her parents were born in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic. Dalia graduated from Florida Southern College, a liberal arts college designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, with a degree in Communications and Theater Arts. She studied at Circle In The Square Theater School and Drama Studio London. Dalia spent six seasons with The Spanish Repertory Theater of New York City and is known for her versatility with accents, dialects, strong Latin female characters and physical transformations for her roles.
