Diana Piedade

Diana Patrícia Silveira Piedade, considered as "Voz revelação" 2010 in Portugal, is a charismatic and soulful figure who introduced herself to the public through the American Idols Portuguese version in 2009/2010 (Fremantle/SIC). Born in Lagos (Portugal), she left her country to pursue a dream and conquer her "place in the Sun". Her valuable participation with bands such as "Duck" and "Fadomorse" led her to the first TV show appearances and live shows through out the country. In 2004, Diana combined her vocal and theatrical skills and became part of the cast of "Cabeças No Ar",a successful musical theater in Portugal. The play was written by noted playwrite Carlos Te, and staged by Adriano Luz with music direction from Manuel Paulo. Between September 2005 and August 2006 Diana preformed in more than 300 shows with her cover band. Towards the end of that same year, Diana moved to Paris, taking a course in "Les Métiers du Spectacle" and joining a Pink Floyd Tribute band. Moving back to Portugal in 2009, Diana signed up for the TV talent show "Idols". Easily distinguished by her vocal skills, power and charisma, she won second place against Filipe Pinto. During the competition she gave new life to Janis Joplin's incredible "Piece of my Heart." Her rendition led her to be the first artist in the world, beyond Janis Joplin, to have a video version at janisjoplin.net. After performing an incredible version of "Whole Lotta Love" Diana was featured at the official site of Led Zeppelin's fans. From May to September 2010, Diana embarked on a twenty-three date tour. Entitled "Rock On Diana" the act was a tribute to rock and blues musical history.. Her journey began on the 22nd of May at "S. Jorge" venue (Lisbon) with a full house. On May 30th of 2010, Diana was invited to play at "Rock in Rio - Lisbon" with the allstars heavy metal band HAIL! (Andreas Kisser, Paul Bostaph, Tim "Ripper" Owens, James Lomezo). Until January 2011 she was one of the top Portuguese artists, with the most facebook fans (172.000) in her country. Diana was invited by Gary Lucas to come to New York City and is scheduled to participate in a Jeff Buckley Tribute. Diana's appetite for music and artistic experience in the United States is leading her on an extraordinary adventure to find passionate and professionals co-workers.
