Maryam Tarami is an actress and creative producer. She made her feature film debut in as "Samira" in the Dutch love story "Zonde" Shame (2010) opposite Joop Keesmaat. With over 7 awards under her belt, she is a passionate performer and producer. She started acting in her teenage years. Maryam took acting classes at the drama academy in the Netherlands which she followed up with the Actors Studio in Los Angeles the United States. In 2013 she made her debut as a producer, which according to her has given her a better understanding of film and in this vein enriched her as an actress. She won her first acting award for her role of Michelle in Michelle (2012). In September 2014 Maryam released the based on a true-story 'February' for which won the Award of Best Lead Actress at the Red Dirt and Twister Alley International Film Festival in Oklahoma. She plays Miriam, an oppressed woman who tells about her life in her homeland Iran while seeking for freedom in the Netherlands.
