James got a hold of his father's VHS camera and shot his first movie at the age of ten, it was then however that tragedy struck his family. Using the pain from his Mother's illness, he set forth and starting moving forward with his dream of writing and directing film. Throughout school James continued his pursuit of his dreams, choosing to write for many of the early years. Writing short stories, novels and several screenplays, it wasn't until the latter years of his high school years that his passion in the moving image was reignited. The last two years of high school he spent working with several people from his media classes creating several short films. Quickly he rose through the ranks, and eventually he landed on the morning show as the director of the morning newscast. James continued to direct for several years, before eventually leaving to work towards writing and directing film professionally.
