While serving in the U.S. Army he started his career in the Armor branch, driving the M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank, and then he was promoted to be a commander of a seven-person recruiting station in Huntington Beach, California. He was an early innovator with the use of social media and video marketing for the U.S. Army. As a station Commander, he implemented digital marketing plans and assisted with development of advertising campaigns for the United States Army Recruiting Command, Southern California.
