At the age of 12, Sophia garnered a Roger Ebert review for her first film "A Gum's Life". Sophia graduated a year early from Palo Alto High School whilst taking screen writing courses at UCLA and After Effects programs at Stanford. She studied film production, finance, and pre-law at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. During her time at USC, she worked on a Sloan Foundation PhD thesis "Lovelog" and an MFA thesis documentary "Steam Dream" (2014) which screened at the Short Film Corner of Festival de Cannes. Her senior thesis film she produced won the King Family Fund Award. She also directed and produced an action/thriller concept trailer titled "Sunflower" and produced a feature film with a budget of $200k at the age of 18. After graduation, Sophia joined the motion picture talent department at ICM Partners under Joe Funicello and worked on "Borg vs McEnroe", "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again", "Hotel Artemis", and the Golden Globe and Emmy-winning TV Series "Chernobyl". She later transitioned into the role of Coordinator of Business and Legal Affairs under Bert Salke at Walt Disney Television. She tracked talent options and credits amongst many other tasks for all Touchtone series such as "Homeland", "Queen of the South", "Mayans", "The Hot Zone", "The Politician", "The Chi", "Barkskins", "The Ratched", "Books of Blood", Emmy-nominated "Tales from the Loop", Emmy-winning "Pose", and Golden Globe and Emmy-winning "Fosse/Verdon", and various other projects in early production/development. Sophia currently works in the Office of the Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board at The Walt Disney Company, supporting the Chief of Staff. She is also writing and developing her own projects, "Departure", "Red Line", and "The Crater".
