I fell in love with acting at the age of 9 after watching the original Peter Pan movie. I would job off the back of our sofa trying to fly, I started making up plays with my friends and performing them for the neighborhood kids charging them 25 cents.. My first "real play" was "A Stone in the Road" performed at the Des Moines Community Theater. I was the stone LOL We moved to Minneapolis when I was 13 and I took a summer program for kids at the Guthrie Theater. I fell in love with the smell of the theater and the excitement when the audience is there. The next year my family moved to Sonoma California where I did my first lead in a play. I played Helen Keller in the Miracle Worker. I drove my parents crazy preparing for the role. I would blindfold myself and walk around our 2 story house. I kept bumping into things but quickly realized if I just used touch and smell I could find my way around. and when I got a standing ovation I knew I had found my calling. I always tell people my 1st play was on Broadway, which is was, our high school is on Broadway. I continued doing plays in high school and then went to Chapman University in Orange Calif, where I majored in theater. I did many plays in Orange County Calif and then moved to Los Angeles to try my hand at commercials and TV. That was back in the days when dinosaurs roamed and the only TV was ABC,NBC, and CBS. Now there are so many more opportunities. I studied with Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Playhouse back in the 70's.. I also had the privilege to train with great teachers Gordon Hunt, Mike Fenton, Mark Malis, Joanne Baron, Clu Gulager ( we studied acting in horror movies) a Master Class with Dustin Hoffman and many more. I was always taking some kind of class. I also studied VO with Elaine Clark from 'Voice One' and character voices with Terry McGovern . I married in 1977, had kids and left the business for 30 years to get e "real job" but still did an occasional play. Finally, back in 2001 I lost 210 lbs ( my ex-husband ) and my kids are now grown, so I moved back to Los Angeles in 2016 and am back to doing what I love. I have completed two indie films back to back and several commercials and am looking forward to working on lots of great projects. 1st Professional job : Go-Go Dancer in Japan. I know, funny now huh? I am a fantastic cook, swing dancer and avid traveler to far and distant places that others dare not go. Love unusual locations with interesting people and food. I am a supporter of A Dog's Life Rescue, Gorilla Doctors and Stop The Traffik ..
