David Liz is an award winning Latino filmmaker based out of Miami,FL. His Mother is Colombian and his Father Cuban, David grew up in the predominantly Cuban city of Hialeah in the Miami metropolitan area. He was raised by his single mother up until the age of 8 years old when his mother married his Step-father who had a huge influence in his life. David attended FSU film school from 2008-2011. He's been working as a Director, Cinematographer and Producer since 2010. David's films and videos have screened in film festivals all around the world including: The Director's Guild of America in NYC, Monaco International Film Festival, Raindance film festival, Miami International Film Festival , New York International Film Festival , Popcorn Frights film festival and many others. In the past few years, David Liz has become one of Miami's most active Filmmakers, having worked on film and video projects for numerous high profile clients including Amazon prime, Telemundo, Redbull, Univision and NBC universal. His goal is to produce/create films and video content that reaches audiences world wide and deliver a valuable message; in hopes of inspiring, moving, and thrilling audiences. His most recent project The Welder, is a socially conscious horror/thriller. A young Latina woman is haunted by a traumatic event she experienced while in the military. Her African American boyfriend takes her on a ranch vacation to help relieve her anxiety and panic attacks. But once there they find themselves in a fight for their lives as they attempt to elude the demented racial experiments of a doctor gone mad.
