Melina Gammersbach was born in Cologne, Germany but was actually raised in a small village in the Westerwald region. She did a three-year apprenticeship as a library clerk before she ended up working as a visa assistant for the US Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany. At the age of 22 she started to take private acting classes out of curiosity, but soon decided to take it to the next level. She then attended the Film Acting School Cologne and graduated in 2009. In 2013, Melina moved to Toronto, Canada where she wanted to start a year-long work and travel journey, but instead she was cast in a bunch of independent short films and also gave her feature film debut with the lead role in the indie thriller Remember To High Five The Salesman. After one year she returned to Germany and together with two friends, founded the film production company Buehnenfieber, which specializes in commercials, portraits and image films.
