Lynnea Szklany was born in Torrance, California in 2007, the daughter of Maia Rodriguez and Jason Szklany. At the time of her birth, her mother was a professional singer/song writer at Pirates Dinner Adventure in Buena Park, and her father was a massage therapist and manager at Glen Ivy Day Spa. She spent her early years playing at Hermosa Beach Pier. On a whim, her mother enrolled her in dance classes at Lynnea 1NA Dance in Diamond Bar. Lynnea was 2 at the time, and she took to it like glue. But Lynnea was born at the heart of the economic fall, and with that many businesses were struggling. Her parents decided to leave California in 2010 and start over. In Rochester, NY, she took a break from dance to begin studies in Kung Fu at Rochester Kung Fu & Fitness. When she was was 4, her mother won a position with the Navy Band and shipped off to Boot Camp, while her father took over her full time care. The family moved several times in the following years, and with each move, Lynnea continued both her Kung Fu and dance studies, with a little gymnastics interspersed. The Navy sent the family back to San Diego for 1 year. During that time she lived in military housing, studied Northern Shaolin Kung Fu under Sifu Mario at 5 Elements Kung Fu Martial Arts and Wellness Center, and trained in ballet with the California School of Ballet before the military finally settled them in the greater D.C. area. Now 8 years old, Lynnea has lived in 8 different homes, but she is enrolled at Metropolitan School of the Arts in Alexandria, continued her Kung Fu studies under Sifu Buriss at the Chinese Martial Arts Center in Vienna, VA, and has been a featured soloist and dancer for a major charity event: the Baltimore Comedy Christmas Special.
