Sara Werner was born in Long Island, New York, the youngest of three children. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona at age 5, and started taking acting classes at age 7. She appeared in church and high school plays and musicals, and participated in several Shakespeare competitions. Always a fan of the technical aspects of theatre production, Sara ventured into the world of film production where she felt right at home. She attended Azusa Pacific University, in Los Angeles County, studying both Theatre Arts and Cinema/Television Production. Her work has appeared and won at several film festivals across the United States including Riverside International Film Festival, Oceanside International Film Festival, Gangrene Film Festival, and Downtown Tyler Film Festival. She was also the stage manager for Susan Isaac's solo show: Angry Conversation's with God, a stage adaptation of her spiritual memoir.
