Jason Evander Johnson, better known as Jason "Lumberjack" Johnson, an American actor and film producer, was born on February 20, 1981. He began his career at age seven, modeling for the Belk department store chain. Upon moving to Atlanta, Georgia, his acting career would begin, when he appeared in a D&K Suit City commercial. He also became a recognizable icon when he appeared on Atlanta's UPN43 as a contestant on Urban Idol, where he flowed to the beat of his own music and amazed the crowd with his original lyrics. He then continued his acting journey, by starring in Wrong Side of Town [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1431191/] as one of Ja Rule's (Murder Inc.), Thugs. After appearing in Ticking Clock (2011)[http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1519664/combined], Arena (2010)[http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1117581/?ref_=nv_sr_2] and Country Strong (2011)[http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1555064/?ref_=nv_sr_1], he landed on the ABC network's episode of Final Witness (Vixen's Elixir)[http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2204348/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1a] as Mike Archer (2012). Jason was born in Dillon, South Carolina, to Sheila Berry, a postal worker and James Bailey (deceased), who owned Ace Tree Surgery, from whom he gets both his Irish and Scottish ancestry. At age seven, his family and younger brother moved to Georgia, but after a few years returned to the rural suburbs of South Carolina. Growing up he was athletic type juggling both baseball and football, as he followed his role model's footsteps, Deion Sanders. Jason was much of an asset in baseball, where he played a lot of outfield and when batting, his speed would help drive in runs. This same asset made him an all-around football player. Although sports were a major part of his life, Jason never let it interfere with his education, making straight A's most of his school years. Meanwhile, he made a vow that one day he would return to Georgia, to make it his home. In 2002, Jason would have a bad incident, where a propane gas grill blew up in his face. He had 19% of his body burned, with second and third degree burns. After 6 months of recovering, he would be back to normal. In 2005, Jason returned to Georgia to make it his home. In that same year, he had another horrific accident, involving a 25 foot fall onto the pavement, that required 8 months to recover. Jason has been through a journey, but he is still excited about the ones he has yet to face. Once of his recent accomplishments, was being on CMT's Sweet Home Alabama Season 4 [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3566424/fullcredits?ref_=tt_ov_st_sm] with his pet raccoon, Meeka (deceased), whom he can always been found talking about. He also produced, directed, wrote and starred in Reunited a Southern Touch (R.A.S.T.)[http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2828698/] which filmed in 2013. It is in the process of being pitched and look for it to be on TV soon. He is also working on a new movie he is producing, with the working title, A Country Boy Can Dance. It starts filming in spring 2016. In his spare time he loves playing baseball and 4-wheeling with his children.
