John Austin Wiggins

A native of West Virginia, John moved to New York City when he was 19, with $200 in his pocket. His first national TV appearance came a couple of months later, when he appeared on an episode of Candid Camera with Alan Funt. John went on to study acting at The Acting Studio NY with Meisner protege, James Price. He also danced with several small modern dance companies, as well as in musical theater, and taught the Simonson Dance Technique in the US, Europe, and Asia for many years. John is a journeyman actor. He has appeared on stage, in numerous independent, short, and NYU films, several web series, as well as features (Top Five, Delivering the Goods, Maggie Black), TV series (The Flowers, Black Box) and web series (The Deep State, Space Available). He has also produced short films and web series. A renaissance man, John also holds a degree in Cultural Anthropology/Asian Studies from Rutgers University (Highest Honors; Phi Beta Kappa), studied Mandarin Chinese on scholarship at Taiwan Normal University, has worked as a pastry chef for fining dining restaurants in NYC and New Jersey, and owns a baking business in Jersey City.
