Jill Salvino is an accomplished storyteller and commercial director with over 200 industry awards including an Emmy. Salvino has directed over 500 commercials working for Young & Rubicam NY HSN/USAI and AOL's Nuance Creative. Transitioning from advertising and commercial directing she began writing and directing for film. She has directed four film shorts. Taking it for Granted (2014) has screened and won prizes in over a dozen film festivals across the US and internationally including a special screening at NYC's Downtown Film Festival after taking home Best Drama. The Sonnet Project #74 & #153, presented by the New York Shakespeare Exchange, is on tour in the United Kingdom, and Lies People Tell (Writer/Director) premiered in the San Pedro International Film Festival and a dozen others across the US and Internationally. It was chosen by the New York Women in Film and Television as one of their Top Short Films of the Year. Between the Shades, her feature documentary debuted to acclaim as it explored the various degrees of 'gay' that exist in our society which frame up 50 different conversations from many different shades-a timely film about the many spectrum of gay and the strands of acceptance and love that bind us all. A member of Promax, a long-standing chair of the Telly Silver Counsel, and New York Women in Film and Television.
