As a child, Sauvion Morkunas was always entertaining everyone, a natural born wise guy and prankster. He was the silent, cool, calm and collective wise guy in school with a slow stare who seldom spoke but, when he did, he usually cracked everyone up with his intriguing frank humor. At the age of 20, he began writing screen plays and registered one with the Writers Guild, shopping it around Hollywood with no success. He was often told his ideas were too far ahead of the times and very few would understand and appreciate his stories. His first taste of the industry came in 1988 while living in Phoenix, AZ. He actually answered a newspaper help wanted ad that landed him a featured extra part in the upcoming TV series, The Highwayman (1987), starring Sam J. Jones. He played a police officer who had to race the cop car down the street, skid around a corner, come to a screeching halt in front of the Mayo Clinic, jump out of the car and lay across the hood with his gun drawn. He impressed everyone by getting it perfect with only two takes. The first take, he scared everyone behind the camera and they ran thinking they were going to get run over as he came sliding around the corner. The director told him on this next take not to get too close to the camera with the car. Sauvion smiled and said, "I thought this was Hollywood, aren't you guys professionals". Shortly thereafter, he met Sam J. Jones and they became friends. Sam got him a permanent gig on the show as the stand-in for the guest stars. After the show was canceled in it's first season, Sauvion was given the part of the number #1 Bad Guy in the NBC pilot, Desert Rats (1988), which was also being filmed in Phoenix, the pilot was never picked up for a series. Eventually, Sauvion took Sam's advice and moved to Los Angeles to try and break into the Hollywood scene as an actor. Having done a number of small bit parts, he became discouraged that he was not getting the kind of roles he wanted and the roles that would establish him as an A-List actor he decided that this wasn't for him. Taking an almost 18-year hiatus, he returned to acting once again in 2008, moving back to Los Angeles and trying it once more. Again, the same frustrations with getting no substantial roles. Just as he was about to throw in the towel, he was chosen as a contestant for the Food Network's reality TV show, Worst Cooks in America (2010). Sauvion was quickly eliminated but the boiled chicken he made went onto to a bit of Internet success. Leaving the show in New York, he returned to CT. This where he lives today and he is currently doing low-budget Indie films and shorts.
