Zach Brown is a writer, director, and actor who's best known for his award-winning feature film Hard Surfaces. Which he wrote, co-produced, and directed. He has also written seven feature scripts, written and produced six short films, and directed the lengthy short film (39 min), The Mountain Man. Zach Brown was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, USA as Zachery Lee Brown to his father Rick Brown, the largest koi fish beeder in the USA and mother Brenda Brown. He attended East Forsyth High School in Kernersville, North Carolina before relocating and graduating from Patrick County High School in Stuart, Virginia in 2001. After graduating high school, Zach attended Virginia Polytechnic and State University (Virginia Tech) where he graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts in 2007. Shortly after college, Zach relocated to San Francisco and studied acting for a year under Matthew Shelton at Gene Shelton Studios followed by a one year film acting program with acting coach Jeffrey Weissman. In 2010, Zach moved to Los Angeles and began furthering his career in the entertainment industry.
