Beth is a writer/producer. Her work as a writing team with partner Gar Hoover has won top honors at Moondance, Asheville and Phoenix film festivals and has been an award-winner or finalist in several screenwriting competitions, including PAGE Awards, Austin Film Festival, Screencraft, Bluecat, LA Comedy Shorts and Nicholl Fellowships, receiving more than $30,000 in competition prize money. Beth's award-winning short, Curtains, premiered at L.A. International Shorts Film Festival and recently received its 20th laurel on the festival circuit. The short was conceived as a sizzle for a half-hour series. Her half-hour series project, The Oblate, is based on a short project that won multiple festivals. The pilot advanced to the second round of Sundance Episodic Labs. She's also writer/producer for Paris Coffee Project, a series about finding good coffee in Paris. She's in post on a new comedy short called Bitter Fruit. Since 2012, she and Gar have taught Story for Film & TV and Screenwriting as a team at Loyola University and at The Second City. Beth was previously on the board of Women in Film and has served as a juror for a comedy film festival. She was born in Monterey, California, and is a University of Virginia graduate.
