Benji Lanpher was born on January 1st, 1984 in Minnesota as Benjamin Moore Lanpher. He is named after his 3x great grandfather, Clement C. Moore who wrote 'Twas The Night Before Christmas. He has lived and worked professionally as a filmmaker in California, currently in Los Angeles, for 17 years. Benji is a 1x Emmy award winner, 2x Emmy nominated cinematographer known for his work as a Director of Photography for National Geographic Channel, Vice on HBO, Viceland and Vice Media along with his comedy work with Sacha Baron Cohens' 'Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,' 'Who is America,' Will Smith's 'Bucket List,' and 'The Biggest Little Farm.' Benji has worked as a cinematographer documenting in some of the most dangerous places and situations around the world. His style of adventure cinematography has led him to document the entire 1,000 miles of the Iditarod in Alaska twice.
