Evan J Haley received his first taste with audio in 2003 while attending a concert at a local venue. The band was popular, but unsigned, and seemed to need some assistance. You can say that's when his future career in audio took flight. From that day on, Captive8 entrusted him with duties of loading in, loading out, setup, tear-down, trouble shooting all problems, personal musician technician, P.A. equipment setup, microphone placement, and running sound for F.O.H, and Monitor land. Evan always had a good ear, and was able to distinguish what sounded evenly mixed. The band was always very happy, and impressed with his work. Live sound felt as if it was second nature for Evan and he decided to apply for an intern position at the same venue he watched Captive8 perform. Evan worked at the venue every weekend for the next year learning as much as he possibly could about sound. While he worked at the club, Evan had the opportunity to run Monitor Land for all the local, and national acts that performed. While interning at the club he enrolled for school to future his education in all aspects of audio. Evan often found myself in the Pro Tools mixing and recording labs learning as much as he could about multitrack recorders, hardware and software DAW's. He continued to explore the realm of software DAW's discovering how addicting it was to record and mix sessions in Pro Tools. As his eagerness for audio continued, Evan switch his focus from music to motion picture. He set his focus to work with film as a Sound Editor/Sound Designer, and Mixer. Evan live's in Los Angeles, CA living out his dream working on a variety of different projects always striving, and pushing himself to get to the next step in his career.
