Kerry Wright is originally from Champaign, Illinois. After receiving a BA in Film Studies from UC Santa Barbara, Kerry moved to Los Angeles and got his start co-writing-directing-producing documentary films with his brother Kris. Their first film, Press 1 For English, won Best Social Awareness Film from the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival, 2nd place Best Feature Documentary from the Skyfest Film and Script Festival, and was nominated for Best Documentary at the Louisville International Film Festival. Their second film, Heroes Don't Wear Capes, was a docudrama. It won Best Film from the Veterans, Soldiers, and Sailors Cinema Festival and was nominated for Best Documentary at the Louisville International Film Festival. The Wright Brothers next project is a television series comedy entitled It's A Beach Thing.
