She was born on June the 30th 1988 in Guadalajara. From an early age Ana de Loera began her artistic education through dance. She began studying the bachelor degree in audiovisual arts in 2007 at the University of Guadalajara's Image and Sound Department (ISD). She made three short films during her years of study: Sredni Vashtar (2009), an adaptation of the short story by the author Saki, winner of the third place at the Female Sessions Festival, Gina (2010), a documentary short film, and Vacations (2011), all three screened in important film festivals in Mexico and abroad. In early 2012 she collaborated with the University of Guadalajara's Channel 44 to develop, cowrite and direct two TV cultural mini series: Kites (2011) and Projector (2012).
