Amy Frear is an actor and filmmaker from Philadelphia. She holds her MFA in Acting from the University of Washington in Seattle. Her films explores subtle science fiction and fantasy through journey, connection, getting lost, time travel, romantic notions, theatricality, and the occasional historic figure or marine mammal. Amy made her filmmaking debut with "Another Time," a short film about commitment and being lost in time. "Another Time" and "Selkie," her second film, have been screened with the Philadelphia Film Society; SFC Women's Film Fest (Winner: Best Narrative Short), Trenton Film Festival (Winner: Audience Favorite); Mystic Film Festival; Garden State Film Festival; Women's Film Festival; The Drunken Film Fest in Yorkshire, UK; Cape May Film Festival (Winner: Curator's Award); among many others. She can be seen in the role of Lisa in Stephen Gyllenhaal's feature film "Grassroots" starring Jason Biggs and Lauren Ambrose, which premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival.
