Janice Lea Black was born on 01 February 1971 to Jim Black and Louise Greene. She was raised in Monroe, North Carolina. Her father owned a small grocery store while her mother was a high school teacher. Janice was a very active Tennis Player throughout high school and her young adult years. In 1996, Janice joined the North Carolina State Highway Patrol as a "Police Telecommunicator" for the N.C. State Troopers and other State Law Enforcement Agencies who operate off the Patrol's Radio Frequencies. Janice developed a very clear and precise, professional radio voice. In 2004, Janice married N.C. State Trooper, SAG-AFTRA Writer, Producer, and Actor, Darren W. Conrad. She had the privilege of having the late, Dan Biggers, (In the Heat of the Night) in her February 07, 2004 Wedding. Janice began to learn the film production business with her husband, Darren. Janice got Voice Roles as a "Police Dispatcher" in the SAG-AFTRA Films, "Last Call of Duty", "The Kill Switch", and she now has the Recurring Voice Role as the "Police Dispatcher" in the upcoming, 2014 SAG-AFTRA New Media Web Series, "Partners"; which is also written and produced by her husband, Darren W. Conrad. Janice became eligible to join the Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television and Radio Artist on 04 January 2014. Janice will continue to help produce films with her husband, do voice roles, and also finish the remainder of her State Career with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
