Daniele Compatangelo, was born in Italy. He has decades of international experience in the field of communications, productions and journalism. In June, 2011 his investigative documentary "The Los Angeles Breakdown" received Honorable Mention at the 53rd Southern California Journalism Awards in Los Angeles. His reports and documentaries are broadcasted on RSI the Swiss Italian Public Television, Italian RAI TV and Mediaset. His works has been nominated at the Southern California Journalism Award, the most important and unique awards dedicated to the work of American and foreign journalist working in the Southern California. His work experience includes reporting for the Genoese newspaper Il Secolo XIX since 2008. His work for the International Olympic Movement includes serving assistant head of production at NBC Universal, journalist for Rai TV and event planning at Casa Italia Coni (Italian Olympic Committee) for six Olympic Games: Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Torino 2006, Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010 and London 2012. His work at the London Games in 2012 earned him and his team the Dedicated Medal from the President of the Italian Republic for advancing Italian culture in tandem with the Olympic Spirit. Compatangelo also worked as deputy manager at the international press office at the World University Games in 2007 and the Mediterranean Games in 2009. He worked as a journalist for Infront in a Sky TV show. He also headed the press office for Eurosport TV, for WWE in Italy, and event planning for the NBA European Live Tour, and for 16 years has worked as a publicist in many international press offices including those in Australia, Canada, Italy, China, and the United States. He is one of the few Italians honored abroad for achievement both in production and journalism.
