Brooke Burfitt is best known for her roles in Lifetime movies; Labor, Lies and Murder (2022), Christmas at the Castle (2020), Maternal Secrets (2020) and in Great American Family film Christmas Lovers Anonymous (2022). Brooke spent her early years in Sydney, Australia, before starting primary school at l'écoles publiques de Magagnosc in the south of France. Her family moved to England when she was 7, and they settled in Virginia Water, Surrey until Brooke finished higher education at The Lady Eleanor Holles School. Her mother is Louise Burfitt-Dons, born in Kuwait, and is a crime thriller writer and the founder of charity Act Against Bullying. Her father, Donald Burfitt-Dons, born in Taranaky, New Zealand, was an airline captain for Qantas for thirty-eight years. She has one sister, Arabella Burfitt-Dons, who also works in the film industry. Brooke began University College of London in the fall of 2007, majoring in Economics and Business with East European Studies. Whilst studying, in the summer of 2009, she entered 'Hollyoaks Desperately Seeking', the nationwide search for the new character India in Hollyoaks. Brooke was called in to Lime Pictures and selected for the final three to go on T4 Saturday with Rick and Jameela, where a live audience watched when Beth Kingston was awarded the role. After graduation, Brooke received her debut feature film role in Mark Noyce's film 'On The Ropes' (2010) where she played the role of Sarah, alongside Joe Egan, former sparring partner of Mike Tyson. In November 2010, Brooke played Noreen next to John Thomson in comic book comedy 'Pulp'. BBC award winning director, Martin Gooch cast Brooke as Sally Sneed in his feature 'Death' with actors Nick Moran, Michael McKell and Leslie Phillips, which won at the Feel Good Film Festival in the US. Brooke went on to film the feature 'The Soft Touch' appearing as lead actress Sarah-Jayne in the summer of 2011. Written and directed by Robin S. Boyd, inspired by Jean Luc Godard, it tells the story of a troubled adolescent whose life is torn apart after he falls for a beautiful schoolgirl. Other filming work during her time in London include; 'The Addicted', directed by Sean J. Vincent and 'Michelle' in action comedy 'Flight of the Flamingo'. The start of 2014, Brooke went to the Scottish Highlands to shoot with Burn Hand Films the zombie apocalypse movie 'Plan Z' for her first supporting lead role as 'Kate', a young Irish girl who loses her brother, she must learn to survive and kill. The film premiered on Netflix UK. When Brooke was off set, she worked as radio broadcaster and producer for LBC, Absolute, BBC East and BBC Guernsey. In 2015, Brooke moved to Bermuda with her husband and began to work in the States. Her first starring role was in 'By Any Means', in which she won two Best Actress awards at international film festivals. Filming in her home island, Brooke played villain Samantha in 'Maternal Secrets' alongside Daytime Emmy winner Kate Mansi and Golden Globe nominee Kelly McGillis. The Made-For-TV movie aired on Lifetime as a Mother's Day Special in 2020. The film tells the story of a pregnant woman who desperately searches for her missing politician boyfriend while on babymoon in Bermuda. In the same year, Brooke starred as the romantic lead in 'Christmas at the Castle', which premiered on Lifetime on 23rd December 2020. Burfitt plays Blair Henderson, a perfume sales agent, who is sent to remote Scotland to find a rare fragrance, The Heart of the Highlands. But when she arrives, she finds the dashing license owner, Alistair McGregor (Dan Jeannotte) is a stubborn aristocrat who won't sell. The following Christmas, Brooke played Katrina in Great American Family holiday romance movie 'Christmas Lovers Anonymous' alongside Houston Rhines. Katrina is a best-selling author who hides her love for Christmas after an ugly break up, finding love again when she joins a website for people who are crazy about Christmas: "Christmas Lovers Anonymous." Burfitt also played a troublemaker in another festive movie for Pureflix, "Most Wonderful Time", directed by award-winning filmmaker Brittany Goodwin. Lifetime released 'Labor, Lies and Murder' in January 2022 with Brooke starring as Hailey, an expectant mother in her third trimester, who hires a doula to help with her home birth and unknowingly invites danger in to her home. Most recently, 'Love, Game, Match' was released on Pure Flix in the Spring 2022, with Brooke playing antagonist Gina. Motivated by jealousy, Gina attempts to interfere in the budding relationship between Liz (Cristine Prosperi) and Ted (Dale Moss).
