Amanda Marie Millar

After graduating from a school heavily devoted to performing arts, Amanda went to college to pursue musical theater and mortuary science. With just a few credits left before graduation, she joined an operatic metal band called Carnevil and toured the east coast for a few years. During that time she was taking voice lessons from renowned opera singer Eduardo Chama to maintain her classical roots. She also studied under soprano Katy Decker, lead singer of the Scandinavian opera metal band Mena Brinno. Amanda took a three-year hiatus from performing to pursue a career in the death business, spending her days working at a funeral home and her nights freelancing as an assistant with the Medical Examiner's office. She then joined the Central Florida Lyric Opera as a resident artist. Since January or 2013, she has been a student of Maestro Bill Doherty, and now performs in several productions a year.
