Ethan is originally from Newton, MA. Thanks to his mother's wise decision to sign him up for theatre classes, Ethan grew up performing and studying all over Massachusetts. After High School, Ethan attended Emerson College and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting. After graduation, he moved to New York City and began living the alleged "dream". Ethan began almost immediately performing in New York, on national tours and regional theatre. Favorite credits have included Oliver! (Cameron Mackintosh's national tour), Forever Plaid (TriArts/Sharon Playhouse), The Who's Tommy (Arkansas Rep, Arst Center of Coastal Carolina), tick, tick..BOOM! (Cape Rep/Provincetown Theatre) The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Northern Stage), and The Full Monty (Arkansas Rep/Cape Rep/Provincetown Theatre) Side Man (Cape Rep), The Drowsy Chaperone (Cape Rep) and The 39 Steps (ACCC). Ethan created the title role in the regional premiere of Andrew Gerle and Maryrose Wood's The Tutor (SBT/2007 Spirit Award) and DT in the original New York production of The Sexless Years at Ars Nova (2006 MAC Nomination). In 2006, Ethan appeared in BC/EFA's Gypsy of the Year at Broadway's Neil Simon Theatre. Ethan appeared in the world premiere of Larson Award winner Lance Horne's Back in the Day (Cape Rep) and can be heard on the original cast album. He will be heard on Lisa Howard's upcoming debut album Songs of Innocence and Experience. Ethan has received best performance of the year citation from the Cape Cod Times twice. Ethan is a company member of Cape Rep, NJ Rep and Provincetown Counter Productions. In addition to performing, Ethan was a founding member of Spontaneous Evolution Ensemble (S.E.E. Theatre), Interim Productions and Paulini and Howell Productions with his partner Angela C. Howell. He also serves on the senior staff of Cape Rep in Brewster, MA and on the board of directors of Provincetown Counter Productions and is a member of the faculty of the venerable Harwich Junior Theatre. Ethan has also directed and choreographed, including Provincetown Counter Productions' recent hit Working and Speech and Debate for Cape Rep. Nationally, Ethan has appeared in numerous national commercials, films, industrials and a pilot for CBS called 'The Quinn-tuplets', directed by Emmy Winner, Mimi Leder. A proud member of Actors' Equity Association (AEA) Screen Actors Guild (SAG), and American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (AFTRA) . He is represented by Talent Express in both Los Angeles and New York. He dedicates all his artistic pursuits to the memory of his mother, Deirdre, who initiated the journey and continues to inspire it every day.
