Hillary Zinks was born and raised in Florida. As a kid, she and her best friend always made movies together on her family's mini DV camera. After taking TV production class in High School, Hillary knew that film would always be a part of her life. Moving cross country to Albuquerque, she had moved to a school without a TV program. Hillary and her new best friend Holly continued to make skits for YouTube, and quickly gained over a million views. Hillary and Holly lost touch when Hillary went off to college. She studied numerous different subjects because she was interested in them all including criminal justice, business, astrophysics, psychology. She loved everything she studied but always found her way back to film, so finally decided to go to film school. After years of her trying to juggle breaking into the film industry as a makeup artist with no professional training, and being able to keep a roof over her head, she finally took a break. She moved away on hiatus for over a year as a nanny, while traveling the world, and becoming so rich in experiences. When Hillary met her husband, she moved cross country to start a family. In 2018, Hillary graduated from VAMP, a special effects makeup school, and worked at Universal Studios as a Prosthetic Makeup Artist for Halloween Horror Nights and Grinchmas. During her marriage, she was dealing with mental and physical abuse fleeing the situation in Jan 2019 as soon as her job was over. She moved back to New Mexico pursuing film and television, and joining the IATSE Local 480 in a matter of 6 months. Hillary worked extremely hard to get where she is and just takes life as it comes. She used her horrendous experience to be a domestic violence awareness advocate sharing her story via TikTok gaining hundreds of thousands of followers in the process. She has also written short films to help with healing such as Pay the Piper, One Day (post production), Nightmare (pre-production), Be Smart Play Nice, Violent (pre-production), and even a full feature action comedy that was inspired by some of her life events called The Crew. Hillary isn't just a makeup artist but she always has and always will be a storyteller and filmmaker.
