Miguel Müller is originally from Brazil. His passion for the craft of writing led him to choose his college major in Journalism/Communication Studies. Soon after starting his academic life, he took television courses and discovered a whole new world. The transition from television to film was just a matter of time and he quickly started writing and shooting experimental and fictional short films. In 2009, he decided to move to Los Angeles to expand his career as a filmmaker. Having taken classes at UCLA in writing, cinematography, producing and directing, Miguel wrote and directed Yolanda, which was selected for the "Short Film Corner" at the Cannes Film Festival 2011. In 2016, his debut feature film as a director The Before Time was released. In 2019, he produced The French Teacher, which was selected to several film festivals around the world.
